Loren’s life has come to a screeching halt. A month ago, her days were filled with auditions, classes, newspaper interviews, and nights at the theatre; now she’s living with her estranged 80-year-old grandparents in their Venice Beach retirement complex trying to figure out what happened to her life and where she belongs in between bridge tournaments and church luncheons.

Based on a true story, this play sheds light and love on family, grief, loss, and what the road to bouncing back really entails.

FINAL BOW 120 minutes  4W 3M

An old theatre with a leaky roof, a struggling musician without any roots, a movie star mother with a conniving fiancée, a desperate developer, and an overly re-mounted production of A Christmas Carol.

For the past 10 years Lila has been trying to keep the theatre that her mother founded going, but debt from box office duds and the perpetually leaky roof loom over her head - literally. A well-timed visit from a developer makes her toy with the idea of selling the building, giving up on her mother’s dreams and kicking out her unemployed musician brother and quippy Nan who live above the theatre.

This fast-paced comedy full of door slamming, mistaken identities, wardrobe malfunctions and surprise appearances centres around small-town living, theatre, family and belonging.
